November 15, 2023 – Game submissions are now being accepted for the return of the WINGS Women's Day Steam Sale, taking place this March 1-10th, 2024 on Steam.
Established in 2022, the WINGS Women’s Day Sale returns this March to feature the amazing work of women in games as part of International Women's Rights Day celebrations. The sale showcases games by studios led or co-led by women, and helps players discover the diversity of talent behind some of the most popular and creative games in the industry.
Diversity investment fund WINGS is excited to bring the Women’s Day Sale back to Steam for 2024, alongside an all new streaming showcase of popular games led by women to kick it off. This will be followed during the week by showcases from friends at Dames4Games and Women-led Games, as well as devs and creators streaming on the event page all week long.
Developers can submit their games to the Women’s Day Steam Sale now via bit.ly/WomensDaySteamSale
The criteria for a game to be included in the Women's Day Steam Event are as follows:
The game is made by a studio led or co-led by women or other marginalised gender people (this means women or other marginalised gender people at the head of the studio or in key positions on the team),
AND the game has “Mostly Positive” reviews or better on Steam (not applicable if Coming Soon).
Should your game not fit the criteria at this time, WINGS is planning other events in the future to showcase a greater diversity of talent.
