Global game publisher CFK (headed by Chang-sig Koo) is proud to announce today (2/29) that it will bring the popular adventure sequel A Street Cat’s Tale 2 to the globe on Nintendo Switch™ on June 27th (Thurs.).


A Street Cat’s Tale 2 is a spin-off sequel to the previous entry in the series, A Street Cat’s Tale. Unlike the previous entry with its story centered around a stray cat that lost its mother, this entry, developed by Korean indie game company Ppiyo Studio, is an adventure game that tells the story of Cinnamon, softened by life as a house cat and now having to deal with new problems out on the streets through Sokoban-style puzzles.


The previous entry, A Street Cat’s Tale, started on mobile before being ported to various platforms, such as Steam and Nintendo Switch™, where it was met with a great deal of positive reviews. Also, it was selected to receive the “2019 Made With Unity Korea” award for best indie games, applauded for its excellent gameplay.


In A Street Cat’s Tale 2: Outside is Dangerous, the house cat Cinnamon witnesses firsthand the assortment of lives playing out in the alleys during his time on the streets. But it’s more than just witnessing because if he wishes to return home, he’ll have to scrounge up meals on the streets, all while avoiding dangerous cars and the obstacles blocking his way forward.


During his fight for survival, he’ll meet the dogs, cats, and humans trying to get by on the streets and hear all the stories they have to share. Will Cinnamon ever be able to return home safely?

Meet Cinnamon, a kitten who has lived his whole life in the comfort of his home. One peaceful day, a butterfly flies in through a window, and Cinnamon follows it outside...
 
However, the outside world has none of the happy experiences he has grown accustomed to during his comfy life at home. He faces animal hoarders, force-feeding terrorists, unknown characters abducting kittens from their villages, and more. The glares he sees are cold, and the events happen seemingly at random.
 
Cinnamon is in danger. Will he be able to return home safely?


▲ Main characters

- Cinnamon: The pet kitten that Hazel has raised and given a home. One day, he’s lured out into the world by a pretty yellow butterfly and sent out on a journey to find his way home.

- Hazel: The kitten Cinnamon’s owner. Though she’s always been quite timid, after Cinnamon’s disappearance from home, she musters up the courage to meet with a number of people in order to find her kitty.

 
Following its 2023 Steam release, A Street Cat’s Tale 2 is set to come to the Nintendo Switch™, expanding to a new platform and allowing more users around the globe to experience the fun. A Street Cat’s Tale 2 will be released as a downloadable game and will be available on the Nintendo eShop.
