FINJI revealed the Switch launch of the best reviewed game of 2021 as part of Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase

Grand Rapids, Michigan - December 15th, 2021: FINJI, the indie publisher behind award-winning indie titles such as Night in the Woods, Overland, and Wilmot’s Warehouse, is proud to announce their creative adventure game Chicory: A Colorful Tale is now available for Nintendo Switch after launching on PS4/PS5, Mac and PC earlier this year.
Developed by Wandersong’s Greg Lobanov, and featuring an original soundtrack from award-winning composer Lena Raine (Celeste, Guild Wars 2), Chicory: A Colorful Tale allows players to to harness the power of art to explore, solve puzzles, help their animal friends, and restore color to the world.

With the goal to put drawing as the main mode of interaction for the player, be prepared to go on an adventure that will ask you to solve puzzles not only with logic but also with your creativity.
Strengthen your bond with your magic paintbrush and discover new abilities as you meet challenges : Glow in the dark paint will guide you in dark caverns and stamps & texture brushes will help you find your personal style. Personalise your adventure with these, as well as the main character!
This Nintendo Switch version is a picture-perfect port of the best reviewed game of 2021.
Color in Picnic Province your way, whether that’s with the touch screen or the classic gamepad controls.
You still don’t want to go alone? That’s cool, Two player co-op is available even if you only have two joy-con controllers!
The game is launching with multiple language support and the team is excited to let fans experience the game in a more accessible way. You will be able to play in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian on launch day.
And there’s more to come: Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese languages will be coming in 2022 to all platforms!

About the Developers
Chicory: A Colorful Tale was stitched together by a team of development veterans and new voices to the industry. Led by Greg Lobanov, Chicory’s engaging mechanics have been molded and fine tuned by a small team of collaborators.
Award-winning composer Lena Raine (Minecraft, Celeste, Guild Wars 2) arranged for live performances from musicians across the whole sprawling soundtrack.
Sound designers
Em Halberstadt (Night in the Woods, Untitled Goose Game, Wandersong) and Preston Wright lent their talent to the game by coming up with not just all of the satisfying gooey sounds that paint makes but also the full range of sound that makes Chicory’s world feel truly alive.
Alexis Dean-Jones created all of the characters and animation in the game. And you can thank her for letting you sit on every chair you come across!
Madeline Berger drew all the environments, with wiggly lines and creative shapes that are just begging to be colored in no matter where you explore.
