Chaosmonger Studio, also developers of Encodya, now prepared an extraordinary mix of cuteness and humor, which makes the playing experience of Clunky Hero as intense as possible.
Starting in a village far, far away, a dull peasant Rufus was living his day-to-day life with his wife, Brunilde, who was the boss of the house, incredibly smart, and also a funny, but not an overly pretty woman. They were living a simple, but happy village life, until one day...
Awakened by some magical mistake, the Evil One started to spread his minions all around, performing hideous acts against the people. The worst of which was the kidnapping of Brunilde. She was taken away from Rufus and put in prison at the Evil One's castle. Transformed into a blondie duck-faced doll girl, she now spends all her time staring at herself in a small handheld mirror. The happy wife and happy life were over.
Determined like never before, Rufus made a helmet out of a bucket and picked a broom as his main weapon. Looking like that he deserved to be called Clunky Hero, and he might be the only hope to defeat the Evil One that no one wants to call by name and save the Brunilde.
A word from developers
The CEO of Chaosmonger Studio, Nicola Piovesan said: "I've been developing Clunky Hero for about 2 years and many things changed in the meantime. Lots of new additions, and a lot of polishing each time we were making a new build. And it's amazing how the simple details (like a new UI, a sound, or a simple visual effect) can improve the game and make it look more professional. All in all, despite the development is yet to be done, our team is very happy with the Early Access version!"
Clunky Hero is now coming out in Early Access but as a pretty advanced version. Developers will during the Early Access phase try to gather as much feedback as possible while striving to enhance elements like combat, level difficulties, trading economy, skills, abilities,... Taking final polishing into consideration, the Early Access version of Clunky Hero now comes with a 30%-40% discounted price if we compare it with the full version.
The whole Rufus adventure is supported in 8 languages, (English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, Traditional Chinese), and will be available for Windows, Linux, and Mac.
Chaosmonger Studio also plans to release Clunky Hero on Switch, Xbox, PS in Q1 of 2022.
