Demiplane announced today a multi-year licensing agreement with Free League to create Free League Nexus, an official digital toolset for Free League roleplaying games. Free League Nexus launches in 2022 with an Early Access phase to release beforehand to collect community feedback to shape the future of the digital toolset. Players can sign up for email updates and to be notified when Early Access is available at: freeleaguenexus.webflow.io
Free League Nexus enhances game sessions with planned features such as a digital reader, game rules compendium, character builder, and interactive character sheet. Free League Nexus will also feature an online playspace that allows fans to connect with other players through matchmaking and video chat, where all the other tools are fully integrated.
“Free League has taken the tabletop roleplaying space by storm in the last few years, publishing games that are steeped in masterful game design, unparalleled production value, and compelling storytelling potential,” said Adam Bradford, Chief Development Officer at Demiplane. “We’re thrilled to bring this kind of digital support to life for these incredible games–I can’t wait to use Free League Nexus at my own table!”
“Tabletop gaming and its communities have been moving online for years, and we want our games to be where gamers are. Free League Nexus on Demiplane is another major step for us in this direction. We don’t want gamers to choose between playing online or at a physical table– Free League Nexus gives them tools to enhance the experience for both,” said Tomas Härenstam, CEO of Free League Publishing.
Demiplane is a new platform that provides an ever-expanding experience that brings fans of tabletop roleplaying games together in one place with high-quality tools that make playing games better—including the upcoming official digital toolsets Pathfinder Nexus and World of Darkness Nexus.
Free League Publishing is known for creating perennial award-winning tabletop roleplaying games–each one as unique as the next. Free League Nexus will initially provide support for games utilizing the acclaimed Year Zero Engine, including the official ALIEN RPG, Vaesen – Nordic Horror Roleplaying, Forbidden Lands, Mutant: Year Zero, and Coriolis – The Third Horizon, with other games to be incorporated in the future.
Demiplane brings roleplaying fans together to make games better, providing high-quality tools to form groups and enhance the ways games can be played, shared, and explored. Launched in 2020 by lifelong friends and die-hard RPG players, Peter Romenesko and Travis Frederick, Demiplane looks to revolutionize how people engage with and enjoy roleplaying games.
