Hunt: Showdown launches Tide of Desolation on the 13th December 2023, which runs until February 14th, 2024. The game’s latest event brings a paranormal fog to the bayou. Hunters can choose between three different Pacts to pledge to, each with exciting new Traits. With the brand-new Wildcard Condition, Ash Bloom, flurries of ash and insects drift up from the Land of the Dead, affecting visibility and keeping animals in a state of alert.

Players can pledge their Hunters to The Demented Pact, The Drowned Pact, or The Grounded Pact to gain access to exclusive new Traits, such as Shadow Leap, which enables Hunters to teleport to a monster's location, killing it instantly. The event brings other updates to the game, such as the new Martialist Trait, some new controller behavior, and more.

“We can’t wait for players to take on new challenges as we launch Tide of Desolation,” said Scott Lussier, Design Director for Hunt: Showdown. “The newest Event Traits and weapon variants will bring thrilling changes to the Hunt gameplay experience. Additionally, the new Katana is sure to be a favorite.”

Players earn Event Points by completing in-game Challenges, interacting with Spine Altars, and more.

Hunt: Showdown is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Find out more about Tide of Desolation by visiting www.huntshowdown.com.

About Hunt: Showdown

Hunt: Showdown is a competitive first-person bounty hunting game that packs the thrill of survival horror into a match-based format. Set in Louisiana in 1895, the game boasts a mixture of PvP and PvE elements that creates a uniquely tense experience. It's not just the monsters who are a threat—it's every Hunter on the map. In a Bounty Hunt Mission, 12 players—playing solo or in teams of two or three—compete as they race to take out gruesome beasts for a Bounty they must extract from the map. Soul Survivor mode offers a shorter Mission for solo players to scavenge for weapons as they fight over a diminishing pool of bounty. The higher the risk, the higher the reward–but a single mistake could cost you everything. Hunt is available now on Steam. For more information, visit www.huntshowdown.com.
