Watford, UK - 28 November, 2024: Publisher Wired Productions and developer Just Add Water are today celebrating the players, community and the launch of the light simulation excavation game DIG VR.
Praised for its immersion and authentic digger controls, DIG VR has been described as "A standout title that delivers an impressive virtual reality experience on the Meta Quest 3" by Rapid Reviews UK and “An innovative and immersive experience that captures the essence of operating heavy machinery in a virtual reality environment” by OneDigital since launching to Meta Quest on the 14th November. Prospective players can find out what to expect in the brand-new creator compilation showcasing the immersive, fun and authentic feel of DIG VR.
Watch the DIG VR Creator-Compilation Trailer:
So far, DIG VR has seen players collectively traversing the distance between London and New York on board their virtual diggers, covering a total of 3,755 kilometres! As well as this, players have accumulated 3,810,734 Dig Bux which, in real world terms, would equate to the cost of 54 and a half JCB Diggers! This passionate community has also dug 46,401 tonnes of dirt which would weigh the same as 10,000 hard hats!
In DIG VR, players can dive into the realistic experience of operating heavy machinery in excavators through virtual reality, capturing the sheer joy, adrenaline and frustrations of life on a digger.
Enter the town of Diglington, where the journey to becoming a master of operating excavators starts off with nothing more than a mini-digger and a dream. Players will experience several types of diggers making their way through heavy machinery up to operating a colossal machine. Featuring a diverse set of attachments to help you overcome the most challenging of jobs, players will dig, delve, dredge, and of course, discover their love of all things excavational.
Key Features:
Full career mode campaign with options for both serious and casual players
Co-op and competitive multiplayer modes
Three quirky mini-games with online leaderboards
A stress free, zen-like sandbox mode
Master up to 4 Digger Sizes with 7 unique tool heads to attach
Unlock over 70 customisation options for your digger, including decal, paint and skins
Featuring the first ever dynamic dig-able terrain in VR, which can be dug, moved and dumped.
DIG VR is now available for Meta Quest priced at £14.99 / $19.99 / €19.99. Sign up for more information via DigVRgame.com, tune in to DIG FM, the brand-new digital radio station designed for construction workers globally, and keep up to date with the latest news via the game’s social media channels Twitter/X, TikTok, Facebook and Instagram.
DIG VR is also compatible with Roto VR Explorer, a next-generation VR gaming chair made in partnership with Meta. DIG VR will be the first game to use the SDK and will be fully compatible with the Roto VR Explorer at launch, allowing for synchronisation between the in-game cab movement and the chair itself.
