LONDON, Ontario - Dec. 2, 2024 - Digital Extremes’ Devstream for Warframe presented a new all time charity milestone for The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation raising more than one million Canadian dollars, a Dec. 5 release date for Warframe: 1999’s anime short in collaboration with THE LINE, new game modes, characters, gameplay systems, and even a new drop from pop sensation boyband On-lyne. Android pre-registration is also now live for Warframe on mobile devices.
Warframe: 1999, will reveal more information about its launch date during The Game Awards on Dec. 12. Relive the turn of the millennium with an Infested twist as it brings in a new PvPvE multiplayer game mode, a romance & relationship system, all original ‘90s inspired music, two new enemy factions, and the 59th Warframe – Cyte-09.
“This may be Warframe’s last Devstream of the year, but it’s not the last big moment we have planned for our players,” said Megan Everett, Community Director. “You can find us next on the Giant Bomb couch on Dec. 11, and the following night, tune into The Game Awards to learn more about the Warframe: 1999 launch date! Our Soulframe team will also have their last Devstream of 2024 next week. We’re aiming to end the year with a bang and kick off the new year hitting the ground running.”

Players decoded a cryptic series of messages throughout this month and helped release a new hotly anticipated On-lyne single: “THE GREAT DESPAIR” today!
Squad up in “Faceoff,” a brand new PvPvE game mode unlike anything Warframe has done before:
Eight players will split into teams of four against each other in a friendly competition on opposite sides of Höllvania to take on various objectives for The Hex while fighting off endless enemy waves.
Rack up points to unlock Boosts for your team and Hindrances for the rival squad to get strategic advantages like guaranteed critical damage against enemies for a limited time or send missile strikes to bombard the other team.

Cyte-09, the kiss of oblivion, takes aim as the 59th Warframe. Scan to see enemies through walls, drop elemental ammo packs, fade back into the environment with cloaking tech, or summon Cyte-09’s Exalted sniper rifle, Neutralizer, equipped with ricocheting bullets and an icy grenade launcher.
Neil Newbon (Baldur’s Gate 3) rejoins the Warframe voice cast as the latest leading figure in the Scaldra enemy faction, Lieutenant Viktor Vodyanoi. Viktor’s frustration with the Scaldra’s current leader, and her subdued measures in dealing with both the Techrot Infestation and The Hex, is plainly visible as he secretly plots to take over her role.
