Dissent on Mars: Democratic Planning Trailer Released

Mt. Vernon, Illinois – March 19th, 2024 – A new trailer has been released for Dissent on Mars, a sci-fi life simulator where you create new societies unlike anything on Earth. Players can create dozens of different alternative economies in the game, but this trailer shows one of the possibilities in detail: democratic planning.


In democratic planning, producers and consumers work together to create a plan for the entire economy. In some ways, this is the inverse of a market; instead of encouraging competition, this system encourages cooperation.
