Groovy MOAI :
Set to launch on December 6th in Steam Early Access, Dungeon Done is a cooperative horror extraction game developed by the indie studio Groovy Moai.
Unlike typical dungeon games filled with endless combat and PvP, Dungeon Done delivers a fresh experience by focusing on PvE gameplay—collecting treasures and escaping the dungeon.
■ A Dungeon You Thought Was Cleared: A New Beginning of Survival and Greed
In Dungeon Done, players take on the role of scavengers, not legendary heroes, venturing into a dungeon for survival. They re-enter what was thought to be a completed dungeon to claim leftover treasures, but it remains filled with deadly traps and lurking dangers.
The goal is simple: collect the remaining treasures and escape safely.
However, even this straightforward objective is blocked by countless obstacles.
Exploration and cooperation lie at the heart of Dungeon Done.
Players must thoroughly scour the dungeon to find treasures and work together with their teammates to secure an escape route.
Unforeseen dangers and urgent situations create a constant sense of tension, offering players a thrilling challenge at every turn.
■ Dark Dungeons: Two Nightmares Await You
Dungeon Done currently offers two main maps: the Cult Temple and the Dungeon of Greed.
Each map features a unique atmosphere and challenges that ignite players’ instincts for exploration and survival.
[Cult Temple]
A pitch-black sanctuary where cultists indulge in dark magic and necromancy, preparing for a grim reaper summoning ritual. Players must evade the traps and monsters guarding the temple and escape before the powerful reaper is summoned.
[Dungeon of Greed]
Once a hideout and treasure vault for raiders, this dungeon has become a monster-infested lair.
Valuable loot can be found within its maze-like structure, but succumbing to greed may leave players lost and unable to escape.
■ Value of Your Loot: Resources for Survival
In Dungeon Done, loot is more than just collectibles.
The treasures players discover in the dungeon serve as vital resources for preparing future expeditions and developing their scavenger.
How players choose to utilize their loot and where they invest it will be critical decisions that determine their chances of survival in the next adventure.
[Shop: The Starting Point of Strategic Preparation]
At the shop, players can purchase a variety of items essential for dungeon exploration and survival.
Basic tools like torches and lanterns to illuminate the dark dungeon are available, as well as survival potions, including invisibility potions to help players hide from monsters.
Additionally, players can buy cooperative play essentials, such as magic wands that can heal teammates or boost movement speed, enhancing teamwork.
Note: Prices for items in the shop may change in future updates.
[Pawnshop: Safely Exchange Your Loot]
Scavengers can secretly stash some of the treasures they find in the dungeon and smuggle them back to camp.
These hidden treasures can then be appraised at the pawnshop after escaping and exchanged for gold.
However, if players fail to escape, even the hidden treasures will be lost.
If you discover valuable loot, it’s crucial to ensure a safe escape.
A helpful tip: thoroughly searching the corpses of monsters in the dungeon might reward you with unexpected treasures.
■ Catch the Treasure Goblin! Greed or Survival—The Choice is Yours
In Dungeon Done, Treasure Goblins appear at random.
Though they don’t attack players, they carry valuable loot and flee at the first sign of danger.
Defeating a goblin can yield significant rewards, making them a target you won’t want to miss during your expedition.
However, focusing too much on chasing a goblin while ignoring the dangers of the dungeon can come at a steep price.
■ Grow Through Quests: Build Your Own Scavenger
Completing quests raises your scavenger’s rank, unlocking various training options to enhance attributes like movement speed, stamina, and bag capacity.
Players can choose their own growth path to create a unique playstyle.
If the results of the training aren’t satisfactory, you can always adjust them using gold.
■ Style in the Face of Danger! All About the Dungeon Costume Shop
Even in the perilous dungeons, the passion for fashion thrives.
At the Costume Shop, players can purchase a variety of costumes, such as skeleton outfits, isekai sportswear, and clown costumes, allowing them to showcase their unique style even in the dungeon.
By playing the game for a sufficient amount of time, players can collect enough gold to purchase these costumes, adding an extra layer of fun through customization.
■ Dungeon Done Early Access Launch Schedule
The Dungeon Done’s official Early Access launch is scheduled for December 5th (Thursday) at 4 PM PST.
Be sure to add the game to your wishlist on the Steam store page to receive a notification as soon as it launches!
