May 28th, 2022 – Today, Everbyte released the tenth and final episode of Duskwood, an immersive detective story that has been released over the last two years. Over this timespan more than 15 million people downloaded the application and started their search for Hannah, a girl that has vanished under mysterious circumstances. The final episode is by far the longest and overshadows each of its preceding episodes in terms of production quality. According to testers the final of the game series is an emotional rollercoaster ride that has multiple twists before the mask of the culprit finally falls.
There have been many rumors about a second season or a sequel in online communities, but nothing has officially been confirmed yet. According to developer Everbyte, there is information about the next project hidden in the final episode that becomes accessible to players once they’ve solved the case.
Over the last two years, Duskwood has become the gold standard when it comes to interactive detective stories for mobile devices and now, with the whole storyline being available, it is the best time to start if you haven't already.
Who plays Duskwood? Is it interesting for me?
The audience of the modern thriller is spread across all countries which is presumably due to the wide range of characters and a captivating story everyone can relate to. It’s played in a messenger like environment but you don’t have to be an avid reader to easily follow along. Your freedom of choice and the fact that you receive multimedia content like images, voice messages and even phone calls gets you close to the action and provide goose bumps especially if the kidnapper makes use of it.

About Duskwood
Duskwood is a modern detective game in which the player is trying to crack a mysterious kidnapping case. With the help of a messenger and other multimedia content, such as voice messages, pictures and video chats, the player is on a quest to find the kidnapper. As a result, he becomes a target himself.
Duskwood is a small, quaint village surrounded by a dense forest. Strangers rarely get lost in this remote area and when they do, they always describe the place as weird or even scary. The locals of Duskwood have never been worried about this. However, in the last 72 hours, many things have changed and even among the villagers concerns are growing: A girl has disappeared and the mysterious legends that are surrounding the ancient forest seem to come alive… There is no trace of the kidnapped girl Hannah Donford. At least not until her friends receive a message from her phone. This message only contains a phone number… your phone number! This strange circumstance brings the group new hope, but what does that mean for you? ... Will you respond?
Features:
Immersive Mystery-Thriller: You are part of the story
Real People: Search through their profiles to find out more about them
Multimedia Content: Video calls, voice messages and much more
Spy Mode: Gain access to confidential information
Mini Games: Solve challenging puzzles to unlock additional hints and story segments
Entirely free
Available in English, German, Russian, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, Polish, French and Korean
The game is played in a WhatsApp-style messenger. The player does not play another person, but becomes part of the story as himself. Hints on Hannah’s whereabouts can be found hidden all through the game but the main focus is on the dialog with the other characters. They are embodied by actors and have an authentic life of their own. For example, they update their statuses, pursue hobbies and share news via video calls. Additionally, the player has the opportunity to unlock further hints and story segments by performing spy missions (such as hacking into cloud storage or listening in on private conversations). The plot is perfectly balanced between mystery and classic thriller, which offers players an exciting and immersive detective experience.
Duskwood is currently available in English, German, Russian, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, Polish, French and Korean. Other languages are planned.
