Substance001 | London, UK... Twentieth Century Fox's action-adventure ELEKTRA, which opens in the UK on Friday January 21 , is already capturing audiences with a ground-breaking online strategy game. The ELEKTRA Ninja Assassin Game (http://www.elektramovie.com/game/) has logged a phenomenal 30,000 of hours of game play all over the world since its debut last November, with users from 163 countries.

The enormous success of the Ninja Assassin Game is attributable to its unique concept and its broad appeal. The game gives users an exclusive "sneak peek" at the ELEKTRA characters by introducing their personalities, powers and skills. By assuming a role from the film, players become immersed in ELEKTRA's story. The game allows as many as three players from opposite ends of the globe to battle each other in a tactical fight simulator. It is the first of its kind to be offered in nine languages. Ninja Assassin's interface features an online chat capability, enabling real time communication within the global user base.

The Ninja Assassin Game's accessibility and popular comic book theme have made it a hit among casual players. Since the game offers more sophisticated game play and higher production values than typical web-based games, it has gained a dedicated following among hard-core gamers as well. With such a wide and diverse global audience, ELEKTRA Ninja Assassin has become an online destination in its own right.

From the pages of Marvel Comics, creator of "X-Men" and "Spider-Man," comes ELEKTRA, the first action event movie of the year. In the ultimate battle between good and evil stands a warrior who makes the choice that tips the balance.

Jennifer Garner stars in the title role as a strong, mysterious and sexy action heroine - a lethal synthesis of grace and power. Not long after recovering from seemingly mortal wounds, Elektra has severed all ties with the world, living only for her next assignment. But in an unexpected turn of events, she is forced to make a decision that can take her life in a new direction - or destroy her. ELEKTRA opens in UK and Ireland cinemas on January 21, following the US domestic release a week earlier. .

Twentieth Century Fox International is a unit of Fox Filmed Entertainment, a segment of Fox Entertainment Group.
