Flexion signs Gossip Harbor - a top 30 grossing game

Android success heading to "alternative app stores" next year.

LONDON, 3rd, December 2024 – Flexion (Nasdaq: FLEXM), the games marketing company has signed an agreement with Microfun, a global developer of family-friendly casual games to publish the developer’s successful game Gossip Harbor on the alternative app stores.


Flexion will distribute the game on the following platforms: Huawei AppGallery, Samsung Galaxy Store, Xiaomi GetApps, ONE store in addition to Amazon App Store where Flexion will take over the game from Microfun. Gossip Harbor is expected to launch on these platforms in Q1 2025.


In October 2024, Gossip Harbor made more than $10M on Google Play for the developer (according to App Magic). Accessing alternative markets with Flexion typically sees a 10% boost in incremental revenue compared with Google Play.


"Flexion will bring Microfun an easy, robust and low risk path to accessing broader markets,” says Jens Lauritzson, CEO of Flexion. "This will give the developer more opportunity to focus on innovating their games, while adding revenue and audiences for Gossip Harbor."


Gossip Harbor is currently the most successful merge 2 game in which players follow Quinn Castillo as her picture-perfect life on Brimwave Island crumbles around her. Divorce, sabotage and secrets, players focus on answering the question: Who's trying to ruin Quinn's life?


Microfun is the latest top developer to see the benefits of using Flexion to expand its markets. In the last six months alone, Flexion has partnered with King, MY.GAMES and Wildlife Studios to market games through alternative channels.
