7th March 2024, Birmingham, UK: The entertainment industry’s leading full-service creative agency Fluid is tickled (neon) pink to announce that the Licensing division’s PAC-MAN Shine On campaign has chomped the gong for Best Global Key Art - Gaming at 2024’s Global Entertainment Awards in Portugal.

Produced as part of a wider style guide for client Bandai Namco, Fluid’s bold, bright key art celebrated 2023 - the year PAC-MAN went neon.

Susan Tran, Senior Director Brand Development (PAC-MAN) at Bandai Namco Entertainment America said, “Fluid did an incredible job creating a bold, trend-forward style guide to celebrate our new PAC-MAN “Shine On” brand campaign. The team took inspiration from PAC-MAN’s core DNA: the bright neon glow of the original arcade experience in the 1980s and infused that with modern aesthetics and design to take PAC-MAN to the next level. The key visuals, icons and patterns really brought the campaign to life. We utilized these assets across all marketing touchpoints to convey our message of self-expression and encourage fans new and old to “Shine On” alongside PAC-MAN by showcasing their true selves and brilliantly glow for the world to see.”

Stacey Bates-McCue, Creative Director and Head of Licensing at Fluid, said “ What an amazing honor to be recognised for the creative vision my incredible team brought to life for such an iconic video game! PAC-MAN has been a dream of mine to work on, so this is very much the cherry on the cake! Thank you to the GEA judges for voting for us, to my awesome team, and of course Bandai Namco for trusting us to do the Shine On campaign justice.”

Alongside PAC-MAN, three more Fluid projects progressed from the Regionals to the Global finals: the Digital team’s Final Fantasy VII campaign (nominated for Best Online Ad, client Square Enix), the Motion team’s trailer for The Witcher Season 3 (nominated for Best Teaser Trailer Streaming Service, client Netflix), and the Brand team’s work for Synapse, client nDreams (finalist for Best Key Art, Games)
