February 13, 2025 – Fractured Alliance, the upcoming real-time strategy game from indie developer Tense Games, is reaching a major milestone as the studio prepares to unveil its prototype demo for potential publishers. Showcasing an early glimpse of the game’s first campaign mission, skirmish mode, and custom multiplayer matches, this prototype highlights the core mechanics—and, more importantly, the classic vibe and atmosphere—that set Fractured Alliance apart in the RTS landscape.

The prototype offers a sneak peek at the opening campaign mission, which doubles as a tutorial, introducing players to some of the core mechanics and units. Players can also engage in quick skirmish battles or customize multiplayer matches via networking capabilities, providing a first taste of multiplayer and cooperative gameplay.

Two Factions Ready for Battle, One Still in Development
This prototype includes two of the game’s three factions, allowing players to test out distinct playstyles:

  • United Federation – A high-tech powerhouse specializing in precision strikes, plasma defenses, and devastating superweapons such as the Superstorm and Stealth Bomber Runs.

  • Eastern Alliance – A faction built on brute force, excelling in heavily armored units, flame-based weaponry, and a Nuclear Bomb superweapon capable of annihilating entire battlefield sectors.

The third faction, The Collective, is yet to be implemented, as it introduces a revolutionary new RTS concept. Designed to be highly automated, The Collective removes many of the micromanagement demands of traditional RTS gameplay, allowing new players to focus primarily on base-building while their drone-forces operate autonomously. This unique playstyle requires additional development, making it the final piece in Fractured Alliance’s faction lineup.

A Prototype that conveys the vibe and atmosphere
With its campaign preview, multiplayer features, and two factions to try out, this prototype represents a crucial step toward refining Fractured Alliance before full-scale development continues.

We've reached a major milestone," says Tense Games founder Thomas van den Essenburg. "With the prototype ready, we can now actively start looking for the right publishing partner to help take Fractured Alliance into full production. This is the moment where the game starts to transition from a cool concept to a fully realized experience, and we’re excited to share our vision with those who recognize its potential.

With a fitting soundtrack, classic unit voice lines, and a creative blend of modern and classic-style graphics, the vibe and atmosphere that Tense Games strives for are taking shape beautifully. Tense Games is actively seeking publishing partners to help bring this ambitious RTS to market and expand its reach.
