From Ancient to Early Modern Era Southest Asia game: Dato of Srivijaya & Perang Laut-Maritime Warfare!

Indonesian studio releases new versions of its historical strategy games Dato of Srivijaya and Perang Laut-Maritime Warfare.

Sengkala Dev, a small indie developer from Indonesia has develop several games set history of Indonesia and in this year, 2 games got major update; Dato of Srivijaya and Perang Laut-Maritime Warfare.
 
Perang Laut-Maritime Warfare is historical strategy game set in Indonesia archipelago at early modern era(15th to 17th century). In this game, player can play with many maritime factions in Indonesia archipelago from different era in standard campaign and take the historical path several factions in 1512 campaign and 1630 campaign after clear each previous campaign.
 
In historical campaign, player can see several historical events such as Portuguese arrival in Mollucas in 1512 or conflict between Dutch East India Company and Sultanate of Makassar in 17th century.
 
This game has developed since May 2017 until June 2019, but get major update from March 2021 until October 2021 focus in gameplay and  graphic. Perang Laut-Maritime released in Steam at 27 October 2021 and will get regular update for quality of game and contents.
 
In other game, Dato of Srivijaya, released in 14 December 2020 after 2.5 months development, now get major update since this game have many bugs and quality very low compare Perang Laut-Maritime Warfare.
 
Dato of Srivijaya is historical strategy game set in 7th-11th century mainly focus in rise of Srivijaya Empire as the main theme. This game is part of facilitation culture project 2020 from Indonesia Ministry of Education and Culture with fund about 1.000 USD in making this game.  But rush development time and lack of experince in managing the big project made the game quality not so good as we expect.
 
Now from 30 November 2021, Dato of Srivijaya development project continue and improvement of the graphic and system.
