December 15, 2021 – Games Done Quick has released the full schedule for Frost Fatales, an all-women summer speedrunning event organized by its Frame Fatales community. The weeklong event will run February 27-March 5, and will be broadcast on the Games Done Quick Twitch channel.
The event will feature speedruns and gameplay showcases across a wide variety of genres, including:
A duck block, including a Ducktales: Remastered speedrun by RicaSuave and Ducktales, Ducktales 2, and Darkwing Duck speedruns by Bloupeuh
A Sonic block, featuring speedruns of Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut (Knuckles' and Tails' stories), Sonic CD, Sonic the Hedgehog Forever, and the original Sonic the Hedgehog
A Mass Effect any% speedrun by Sanjan
RPG fans have a lot to look forward to this year. In addition to the Mass Effect speedrun, viewers can tune in to watch speedruns of NieR: Automata by Lizzyberry, Pokémon Red by Swiftalu, Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade by ItzUrGrlC, Fire Emblem: Three Houses by AeonFrodo, and many more. In addition to that, Frost Fatales 2022 marks the return of Fatal Frame speedrunning, with MissScarletTanager running through Fatal Frame III: The Tormented.
Frost Fatales 2022 will be held in support of Malala Fund, an non-profit that works to secure free, safe, and quality education for girls around the world. In 2021, Flame Fatales raised over $127,266 for the charity.
