London, UK - 9th September 2004 - Digital Bridges, a pioneer of mobile entertainment solutions, in association with TKO Software, Incorporated, today announced the launch of the mobile edition of GauntletTM, the renowned arcade game. GauntletTM has been developed in-house by TKO and will be distributed across Europe by Digital Bridges.

Midway's title GauntletTM is a medieval fantasy adventure game that has significant "retro" appeal, having begun life as a coin-operated arcade game in 1985. It is considered to be the first-ever top-down dungeon crawler. Since then, the hack-'n-slash Gauntlet TM series has been successful across console and GBA platforms, and is now launching on a wide selection of Java enabled mobile phones.

TKO's mobile version of the game is based on the Gauntlet Legends titles incorporating the four main characters - Warrior, Wizard, Valkyrie, and Elf - from the original arcade game, and features fast-paced action within expansive levels across extreme and varied environments.

Will Golby, TKO Managing Director, Wireless Games commented, "Arcade classics have been among the most popular genres in mobile gaming, and with Gauntlet we are bringing one of the most enjoyable game titles ever to the distribution partner which has done the most for mobile gaming in Europe."

Digital Bridges SVP Marketing Paul Maglione added: "The launch of GauntletTM adds a well-loved, classic title with proven gameplay appeal to the pipeline of premium branded mobile games we will launch this autumn."
