Gridless Tactical RPG BEAST Gets Major Content Update

[Warsaw, Poland, - November 23rd, 2023] - Developer and publisher False Prophet has released the first major content patch for its turn-based tactical RPG BEAST. The game, which is currently available in Early Access on Steam, leans heavily into brutal tactics gameplay, with a dark, mature story. As part of the new update, players can expect a slew of new missions across fresh maps, additional enemy types, companions, weapons, and new localization languages.

Serving as False Prophet’s debut title, BEAST aims to redefine the turn-based tactics genre by telling a brutal, grounded story with morally ambiguous characters. With gridless, turn-based tactics gameplay at the forefront, players are able to strategize to take down their foes on the battlefield. Since this is an Early Access game, False Prophet is listening to its playerbase to ensure BEAST is the best game it can be.

BEAST offers two main ways to play: Either play it safe and focus on team oriented tactics, or unleash the Beast and rush in for an all-out brutal assault. Each have pros and cons, so you will need to choose wisely depending on how things unfold on the battlefield. If you choose to play it safe, your allies will gain various buffs. Once your insanity meter reaches its threshold, you have the opportunity to turn into the Beast, giving you access to devastating attacks to shred through your foes. However, becoming the Beast does grant you more power, at the expense of less predictable enemies who gain additional abilities of their own when your inner demon comes forth. 

The first major content update for BEAST is live now, and contains a wide array of features. Notably, players can enjoy 17 new missions across 13 fresh maps. Likewise, the update includes 10 new enemy types, 5 enemy classes, 19 weapons, 9 companions, 11 cutscenes, and 17 additional camps, along with NVIDIA DLSS support.
