Cyprus, December 19, 2023 — 1C Game Studios announces a new version of their online team-based tactical shooter Caliber. Caliber+ allows players to gain special account status: it allows playing with fully leveled operators, speeds up the process of obtaining new operators and their skills, makes it easier to access Ranked Battles, and grants permanent access to User Battle creation and expanded account statistics.
Straight into the fray
Caliber+ will remove the needs for leveling from the game, allowing players to focus on the battles. All purchased operators will be at their max level. This applies to all operator collections, including future ones.
Individual discounts and special offers for veterans
Fans of the game will be able to receive an individual discount for Caliber+. To obtain the discount, players will have to continue playing the base game and fully level up 35 or more operators. The option to purchase Caliber+ at an individual discount will appear in the game client when the conditions are met. The more fully leveled operators a player has, the bigger their discount will be.
Caliber veterans who are fast enough to upgrade 72 operators (including recruits) before maintenance on January 10, 2024, will get a temporary offer to upgrade to Caliber+ for free. Check the article on the project's official site for more info.
"The game has undergone many changes over the last year. With the release of Caliber+, we are putting an alternative version on the market — one that is much closer to a classic, complete in-box product than a free-to-play game," stated Caliber producer, Alexey Komarov. "With this release, we are adapting the hybrid monetization system. Now, it is up to the players: they can continue using the familiar free-to-play system with a quite lengthy, yet free, leveling system, or get Caliber+ and instantly get operators at their max levels. But monetization isn't the only important change made to the game. This year, we introduced the new PvPvE mode, Threshold, which has basically introduced a new genre to Caliber. We call it Action/MOBA. It is quite close to a MOBA game, but there are weapons and no elves."
You can buy Caliber+ on the game's official site, Steam and VK Play. From December 20 to January 3, Caliber+ will be sold at a 15% discount. Caliber veterans whose accounts meet the criteria listed below will be able to buy Caliber+ in the game client using Coins at a discount, or even get it for free.
