HoYoverse's Virtual Actress Lumi Performs First Snowy Livestream

FEB,6, 2024——HoYoverse's popular virtual actress, Lumi, hosted her fourth livestream on January 12, 2024. This time she appeared in a new wintry environment.

This is Lumi's first livestream in such a realistic setting, interacting with her fans in a dreamlike winter wonderland.

The livestream is themed as "Here’s a Snowflake for You". As the title implies, the biggest attraction for viewers was seeing the way Lumi can interact with snow in real-time.  With HoYoverse's advances in real-time simulation and rendering technology, Lumi can now perform a slew of new animations, including stomping and kicking her way through the snow, as well as patting the snowman she was building. These new movements gave viewers a glimpse of Lumi's expanding repertoire lifelike animations. In addition, Lumi also showed her sweet and gentle side, sporting twin ponytails and glasses for the first time. She even wore a warm winter jacket to match the chilly scenery.

During the livestream, Lumi even would occasionally put her hands into her coat pockets, vividly portraying the feeling of being out in the cold and snow. With such realistic animations, the livestream content felt more lifelike than ever. Most of the stream was shown in a first person perspective, allowing the audience to naturally follow Lumi's movements while also increasing the overall immersive experience.
During a random dance segment, Lumi also tried more varieties of dance styles, which was another indication of HoYoverse's continuous advancement in streaming technology.

At the end of the stream, Lumi performed a dance to wish blessings for viewers in the new year, bringing the livestream's atmosphere to an exciting finale.
