Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 31 May 2024 – Dive into 1980s with an old school perspective, reminiscence back your nostalgic horror experience with Yan: Parasomnia game developed by Cerebral Games and published by Nimbus Games. You play as the Wan Siblings, explore their childhood home and uncover a dark plot, all the while surviving the malice of the tragic denizens trapped therein. The demo is out now on Steam.


Experience the chilling atmosphere of Wallace Court in either a single-player or two-player co-op mode, you play as either Wan Zi Min or Wan Zi Han to solve puzzles, ward off phantoms and engage in bouts of sibling rivalry. Set in the 1980s, Yan: Parasomnia game draws inspiration from the Malaysian Hungry Ghost Festival, bringing a unique cultural twist to the horror genre and enabling the player to explore a world inspired by Southeast Asian architectures and landscapes with an old-school fixed camera perspective. But BEWARE! Every action you take has a consequence as this game has multiple endings driven by your choice. Yan: Parasomnia game is expected to release on PC via Steam, GOG, Fanatical and Epic Games , planned releases on PlayStation and Xbox platforms.

 
The release date and price for Yan魇: Parasomnia game is currently under discussion. Nevertheless, with the collaborative efforts of Cerebral Games and Nimbus Games, an indie game studio who made Malice and Chiyo, which won multiple awards from 2017 to 2023, the game will definitely deliver an exceptional horror experience. Nimbus Games is an indie game studio, conceived on 18 April 2016 by Joseph & Caleb in the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They started off developing mobile games but have found passion and stride in PC games. At the beginning of the Covid-19 Pandemic, they set out to create a “virtual escape room” based on their previous experiences and thus Malice was conceived. Currently Malice is available on Steam after one and a half years of development. It is primarily a puzzle game with a horror theme set in ancient Edo, Japan.


Consequently they released the second PC title in 2023 – titled Chiyo, a subsequent Edo era styled horror game in which you play a paranormal investigator in the employ of the Shogunate. Chiyo garnered a 77% positive score rating on Steam.


At this moment, Nimbus has a core team of 25 developers and artists. The team is also supported by over 20 part timers, freelancers, and interns.
