FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

VANCOUVER, Canada — Dec. 14, 2023 – Bahnsen Knights, the third visual novel in a series inspired by early 20th century pulp fiction and ‘80s home computer graphics, highlights the horror of man today on PC and Mac via Steam & GOG. The apocalypse arrives on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5|4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024.

The religious cult known as the Bahnsen Knights reigns terror on the highways as biblical storms rain havoc on the population. Their leader, a former car salesman named Toni, preaches hell is not below us, but above, as he leads the Ford Sierra-driving cultists across the country, performing “route exorcisms” along the way.

Infiltrate this cult as Boulder, an undercover agent attempting to dismantle them from within while hunting the whereabouts of his missing partner, Cupra. Establish trust with cult members to navigate hostile waters without arousing suspicion. Reveal their intentions as a cryptic collective and undermine their achievements via minigames, puzzles, and choice-based, branching storylines that can lead Boulder to the solution…and a number of grisly demises.

Bahnsen Knights serves as a standalone story in the Pixel Pulps anthology, a series of interactive fiction tales inspired by early 20th century pulp fiction with its over-the-top tales, and art paying homage to 1980s home computer graphics. Jump into the series for the first time and enjoy a brisk, 2-hour tale full of chills and thrills, while fans of Mothmen 1966 and Varney Lake can reunite with paranormal investigator Lou Hill…and find out why he’s locked in the trunk of a car.

Bahnsen Knights is utterly human in a shared universe with cryptids and vampires,” said Shintaro Kanaoya, founder and CEO of Chorus Worldwide, “And it’s all the more grim for it. LCB really explores the malleability of the human psyche here, and how the potential horrors mankind can unleash unto itself can install a special kind of terror than no mythical creature could conjure.”

Bahnsen Knights launches today on PC and Mac via Steam and GOG for $9.99 / €8.99 / £8.49 with support for English, Spanish, German, French, and Japanese languages. The Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5|4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One versions arrive on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024. Pick up Bahnsen Knights at a 10% launch discount, with additional discounts as part of the Pixel Pulps bundle available on digital storefronts.
