[Brisbane, Australia - July 17th, 2024] - There are more ways than one to play Len’s Island with the release of the major Gamemodes update, out now on Steam. This update introduces an endless amount of customizable game settings alongside a list of unexpected new features that spark a fresh and engaging experience for all players.
Official Developer Preview: Len’s Island - Gamemodes Update Developer Preview
Players can now create their perfect playthrough by choosing from a variety of preset gamemodes and tweaking game settings at any time during gameplay to suit their playstyle. The Gamemodes update includes new hardcore and perma-death gamemodes that are made to challenge any skilled player with intense combat, brutal harvest moons and harsh survival mechanics. Players that are looking for a specific gameplay experience can curate their own playthrough with the new custom mode where they can choose from multiple game settings, making Len’s Island as easy or as difficult as they please. The addition of these new preset modes along with customisable game settings allow players to have complete freedom over the game's direction and adds a layer of personalisation never before seen in Len’s Island.
The Gamemodes update also brings a highly requested yet extremely controversial change to the nighttime of Len’s Island. During nightfall, players must defend their farms and homesteads from intense enemy raids as voidlings spawn in hoards on every island each night. Players who enjoy fortifying combat can defend their homes in exciting and creative ways by using an array of new defence weapons such as tesla towers, ballista bows, palisade walls, lightstone wards and landmines. However, this feature can be skipped completely by sleeping each night, or can be altered to become easier or more challenging in the new gamemodes settings.
The underground cave system has also been updated to include a variety of engaging new areas to discover. Explore enchanted mushroom forests and formidable underground strongholds that are full of rewards and mystery. These new areas contain challenging enemies guarding high-tier loot, and once cleared, are the perfect place for building outposts and farming mushrooms.
The Len’s Island Gamemodes update is available on Steam in Early Access now, and the game is set to launch in 1.0 later this year. For more updates on the game, check out Len’s Island on YouTube, Twitter, and their official website.
