PORTLAND, FEBRUARY 28, 2024 - Fresh off the news that they are caught up on Playdate pre-orders, Panic today announced during the latest Playdate Update showcase that Lucas Pope’s (Return of the Obra Dinn, Papers, Please) Playdate game Mars After Midnight will release on March 12. In addition, today’s presentation also showcased a lineup of 16 creative and inventive upcoming Playdate games coming to the platform in 2024 and beyond, made by talented tight-knit teams.

Next month also marks the one year anniversary of Panic launching Catalog, their own Playdate on-device and web based game store with Crank-to-Buy technology. To celebrate the occasion, and to welcome new Playdate owners, Panic announced that Catalog will host its first ever game sale from March 7 to March 14.

    • The original and legendary point-and-click adventure game,Shadowgate, ported to Playdate!

  • ☄️ Comet 

    • Developed by Team Comet

    • A light-hearted puzzle adventure where you play as the exuberant Stella who confronts her fear of the dark to search for her brother. Solve puzzles, collect trinkets, query islanders, and uncover the secrets of an island fascinated by the Comet. 

  • ❄️ The Whiteout

    • In the Spring of 2025, it started snowing. It never stopped. The Whiteout is an upcoming adventure game for Playdate from the developer of Post Hero, Generations, and Shift.

    • A story-driven shoot 'em up game for Playdate. Join the crew of Icarus as they travel across the galaxy, battle various fleets, and encounter new friends and enemies on their daring mission.
