[LONDON, England: July 23, 2024] – PocketGamer.biz is excited to announce the return of its highly anticipated MasterClasses 2024 series. This season you can choose from three essential topics, each consisting of a free webinar and a paid workshop.

The fully online format ensures accessibility for all participants, enabling professionals to gain industry insights from the comfort of your home. The hour-long webinars are free to watch and will form the perfect introduction to the topic. For additional deep-dive insight and group work with the host, a paid workshop is the perfect accompaniment.

In today's highly competitive and rapidly evolving gaming market, mastering monetisation strategies, enhancing player engagement and retention, and designing balanced game economies are crucial skills that can make the difference between a game's success and failure, regardless of platform or genre. These online sessions are designed to provide both foundational knowledge and in-depth expertise, catering to various skill levels and interests within the mobile games industry.

Attendees will benefit from the insights and best-practice advice of industry veteran Oscar Clark, who has run a number of popular classes over the years, and previously was the Home Architect for Sony’s Online Virtual World, PlayStation Home, and the Evangelist for Unity Ads, one of the most successful advertising networks in games. At Fundamentally Games, Oscar offers consulting, training and publishing services on PC, mobile, and console. He has run classes for teams of all sizes (AAA to indie) and game accelerators for many organisations, including the Indielab Games accelerator programme.

Dave Bradley, COO of Steel Media, the publisher of PocketGamer.biz, says, “We originally launched the PocketGamer.biz MasterClass series with Oscar’s help at the end of the pandemic lockdown, bringing games education straight to your desktop. It was a success, and we’ve often been asked to bring the series back. This summer, we will work with Oscar once again to bring you essential monetisation and economy lessons. The addition of a free webinar for each class means more people will be able to benefit from our tutor’s experience and get a taster before deciding to take the plunge and sign up for the excellent interactive workshops. This marks the start of a regular series of courses with other teachers which we plan to run throughout the year.”

Aspiring attendees can book here to receive a limited-time early bird discount, saving £149 on each MasterClass. Alternatively, subscribe to the entire programme for just £375 and save a total of £522.
