FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN (DECEMBER 16, 2021) 10 Chambers — a Swedish game development studio composed of industry veterans known for PAYDAY: The Heist and PAYDAY 2 — released its extreme cooperative horror shooter GTFO last week during The Game Awards 2021, and has since claimed the #2 spot on Steam’s global best sellers list and increased its concurrent player base by 2,000%. Following the game’s successful launch, 10 Chambers has opened the GTFO merchandise store, featuring a selection of unique gaming goods based on the game.

“When we decided we would do GTFO merch, we also decided not to do the traditional gaming logo printed on a basic t-shirt,” said Ulf Andersson, Creative Director at 10 Chambers. “Firstly, we wanted to create something that we — and hopefully more people — actually want to wear and won't just bury at the back of your closet after the first wear. Secondly, we have many creative people, many interested in streetwear and fashion, at the office. We wanted to unleash that creativity in our GTFO merchandise, taking the game brand to fashion rather than the other way around.”

The official GTFO store, open now, offers a wide range of hoodies, t-shirts, jackets, bags, caps, and hats in streetwear style. In addition, the store includes various collectible and unique items — including a workwear-vest and a hard hat adorning the logo of one of the in-universe mining companies, Santonian Industries, featured in GTFO. The flagship item on the store is a limited-edition handmade bust of an in-game gasmask. Created by Arclight Company, the bust is crafted from an epoxy resin and iron powder blend that gives it a natural patina by oxidation. The bust comes with a base made from stone featuring a copperplate GTFO logo.

“With the Casted GTFO Collectible Mask figure, we wanted to create that genuinely collectible piece, handmade by our friends at Arclight Company here in Stockholm, Sweden. This bust will be limited to 100 only and will live its life on your shelf — the way it is made, it will age with time and get a stunning patina look,” said Robin Björkell, Communications Director at 10 Chambers. “We hope that our community will like the products we offer and see that we really gave this time and thought before opening.”

GTFO is 10 Chambers’ first title and has been in development since 2015; the game was revealed at The Game Awards 2017 and first released on Steam Early Access in 2019. Since 2019, the game has enjoyed a loyal following of hardcore players, boasting one of the world's most active Discord servers with over 200,000 members. The growing popularity of GTFO shows no signs of slowing down with the release of GTFO Version 1.0, which launched on December 9, 2021.

Described as “Left 4 Dead meets Aliens,” GTFO has gained the reputation of being a terrifying, hardcore cooperative multiplayer shooter where good teamwork means the difference between life and death. Cast in a four-player team of prisoners held against their will by a mysterious entity called “The Warden,” survival depends on a team’s ability to communicate, coordinate, and manage their ammunition — else they doom themselves to a bloody, messy death. To The Warden, they’re all expendable.

GTFO is available for purchase on Steam for $39.99 USD. To purchase GTFO, please go to https://store.steampowered.com/app/493520/GTFO
