King | London, February 2005. Midasplayer.com, the world's largest skill gaming site today launches Quiz Queen, a multiplayer Internet trivia quiz game hosted by international personality Nancy Dell'Olio in aid of The British Red Cross.

The game, which launches today on www.midasplayer.com, features Nancy as the host, introducing the players to the game and taking them through each question step-by-step, congratulating, encouraging and sympathising as they play.

Quiz Queen is open to all and can be played for free or competitively for a 35 pence stake. 50% of all proceeds from the game go to The British Red Cross.

Before beginning the game, each player can create their very own Avatar (computer generated character) "contestant" which expresses emotions and comic expressions as they compete. Then it's time to play.

Up to five contestants play each game of Quiz Queen, competing against each other to answer as many questions correctly as quickly as possible. Questions range from celebrity gossip to geography and Victorian literature! After ten questions, the winning player picks up that game's jackpot.

This is Nancy Dell'Olio's first foray into the internet and one which she is extremely excited about: "The number of people playing games on the internet is incredible," says Nancy. "For me, it is like being a host on a television quiz show with an international audience of millions where everyone can have a go," she continues.

Nancy, who is known as a Red Cross Ambassador and for charitable work through her own movement "Truce International", was introduced to midasplayer.com by co-founder, Toby Rowland at the European Football Championships in 2004. He says: "Nancy's combination of fun, enthusiasm and her profile in Europe were key ingredients in making Quiz Queen work. Nancy is brilliant in her role as host and the game is unlike any other on the Internet. We fully anticipate that Nancy's Quiz Queen game will become the most popular game on midasplayer.com."

Quiz Queen is a fun and stimulating test of general knowledge and celebrity trivia, and to get you started there are a few questions to warm-up your trivia taste buds (answers at end of release):

Q1. Luke Goss' autobiography was called "I owe you.."?

Q2. For what reason was Shadow sacked from the TV show Gladiators?

Q3. With who does Michael Douglas share his birthday?

If you answered any of the questions above correctly, then you stand a chance of being a winner on Midasplayer - simply log on to www.midasplayer.com and start practicing.

Nancy continues: "This game is fun. Working with Toby and the team to make it happen has been a great experience and people will have even more fun playing it. Best of all, half the proceeds go towards the British Red Cross."
