STOCKHOLM, MARCH 21, 2024 — Pick-up-and-play strategy will truly live up to its name with the launch of Toy Monsters (TRAILER), coming April 11 to the Meta Quest Store developed by Habaduda Games and published by Beyond Frames Entertainment. Featuring mixed reality gameplay optimized for hand-tracking fun, players can bring classic lane-style tower defense to life in their home and fight back a monstrous horde of adorable invaders with more tricks and teddies up your sleeve than you can fit in a single toybox.
“Games that you can comfortably play on your floor or a table – just like you did with real toys when you were a kid – are such a perfect fit for mixed reality,” says Head of Publishing Maeva Sponbergs. “And just like being little and playing with your toys as a kid, using your hands is such a crucial part of play in mixed reality. Your interactions in MR should be exactly the same as if you were interacting with physical objects. But that doesn’t mean your hands can’t be fun, too! Just wait until you transform your fingers into flamethrowers for the first time, or use crystal power to unleash magic beams from the palms of your hands.”
Playable in VR just as readily as in mixed reality, Toy Monsters sees its full launch after spending time initially on App Lab where it has received high acclaim from users who have called it “innovative,” “a great example of MR,” and “top notch tower defense action.” The game will include a whopping 33 levels (+ additional bonus levels) at launch, boss fights, and an endless mode to see how long your adorable avengers can survive under your leadership, offering hours of fun for gamers of all ages.
Beyond Frames Entertainment’s studios have produced a variety of VR hits including the award-winning Down the Rabbit Hole, Spacefolk City and Wands Alliances, and the company acts as publisher for Combat Waffle’s smash VR shooter Ghosts of Tabor.
Toy Monsters will be available on the Meta Quest Store on April 11 for $14.99 and is available for pre-order beginning today. To keep up with the latest announcements from Beyond Frames Entertainment follow them on X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, and https://beyondframes.com/.
