Nephin Games Wins Games Developer of the Year

…innovative platform provides new marketing CRM channel

(Galway, Ireland February, 2005) Nephin Games, the Galway-based mobile phone games and customer relationship marketing developer, took gold this year when it was announced that the company had won the Digital Media Awards 2005 Digital Games Developer of the Year against stiff competition.

Nephin was also short-listed as a finalist for Best New Wireless Application.

Nephin Games is the developer of 'WKN Kickboxing for mobile', which also features back-end database applications for customer relationship marketing. The game not only provides engaging community based gaming entertainment to players, but also reinforces the WKN brand and captures critical marketing data from those end-users for customer relationship marketing purposes.

Tony Kelly, Co-ordinator of the Irish Chapter of the International Games Developer Association and a judge in the competition stated, 'The final results were a fair reflection of the talent and hard work involved. Nephin Games took home the award for Best Digital Games Developer of the Year - and well deserved it was too. The quality of WKN Kickboxing spoke for itself, and assured Nephin Games of top prize on the night. Congrats to Alan Duggan and associates for a job well done.'

Game Architecture Designed for Marketeers

The WKN game was designed by Nephin not only to promote the World Kickboxing Network brand, WKN, but also to capture vital customer information and establish a unique CRMarketing communications channel.

'The WKN game develops a community of players through its Buddy-play architecture,' said Stephane Cabrera, World President of the World Kickboxing Network. 'Technology within the game allows us to elicit feedback directly from players. This capability provides us with a database of critical player information. The game not only reinforces the WKN brand but also establishes an inexpensive and novel method of communicating with our customers, helping to promote brand loyalty.'

Future Developments for Global Branding
