Netmarble Continues Strong Commitment to New Global Titles and Diversification of Portfolio to Fortify Worldwide Position in Mobile Gaming

 LOS ANGELES – NOV. 17, 2021 – Netmarble Corp, a leading developer and publisher of mobile games, reported $536.9 million in revenue and $51.8 million in EBITDA for the third quarter of 2021. Overseas sales accounted for 70% ($376.8 million) of total global sales.

 
“Netmarble saw growth quarter-over-quarter with incoming revenue from the previous release of Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds and the global launch of MARVEL Future Revolution,” said Seungwon Lee, CEO of Netmarble. “We expect earnings to improve in Q4 following the consolidation of earnings, which will include global sales from our recently acquired social casino game company SpinX Games, along with the launch of Seven Knights 2, which debuted in 172 countries worldwide (excluding Korea, China, and Vietnam).”

 
Netmarble’s Q3 2021 financial results include:
 

  • Revenues continue to remain highly diversified across key territories, including North America (34%), Korea (30%), Japan (12%), Southeast Asia (11%), Europe (9%), and other regions (4%).

  • Third quarter’s top performing titles include Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds (20% of revenue earned), MARVEL Contest of Champions (13%) (Kabam), The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross (7%), Lineage 2: Revolution (5%), MARVEL Future Revolution (4%), Blade & Soul Revolution (4%), Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery (4%) (Jam City), and Cookie Jam (4%) (Jam City). Netmarble’s other games contributed to 39% of the company’s earned revenue.

  • Due to MARVEL Future Revolution’s global launch, Netmarble’s slate of MMORPG (40% of revenue generated) saw an additional 8% QoQ increase. Other genre contributors include RPGs earning 27% of revenue generated, Casual Games seeing 22% of revenue generated, and other genre releases contributing to 11% of revenue generated.
