Animal companions have been one of the most highly requested features since early development of Len’s Island. By implementing these new furry friends, gameplay feels even more lively.

“When we launched the Kickstarter for Len’s Island we were lucky enough to achieve our extended goal for pets,” said Julian Ball, Founder of Flow Studio. “Although it’s been a long time since then, we’ve been itching to get the feature in the game. I’m glad we took the time to thoughtfully implement companions and I think our players will thoroughly enjoy the result.”

Players can use a bait box to tame a variety of animals including a cat, wolf and tiger. There is also now a dog to discover in the first dungeon that can easily be tamed. These companions come with their very own special abilities that are a huge benefit throughout gameplay. Once tamed, the cat and dog companions retrieve resources for the player, making them convenient to travel with when mining and collecting wood, and alternatively the wolf and tiger help during combat by attacking swarming enemies. To keep the new companions happy, there is a new range of kennels and beds now available through the build menu.

A wide variety of new collectible decor has been scattered throughout the world of Len’s Island making for one exciting scavenger hunt. Players can now scour the seas to unlock a selection of furniture, lighting, and ornaments, perfect for decorating homes. These treasures are not simple to find, however if the adventurer's hat is worn, players will receive a new ability that highlights the collectibles on the map when they are closeby.

Lastly, Flow Studio is proud to release the first round of localization. Len’s Island can now be played in five different languages including Spanish, German, Thai, Simplified Chinese and English. This selection of languages will expand overtime throughout development.

The Companions and Languages update is available to play on Steam now. In celebration, Len’s Island is currently offering a 40% discount on game purchases for a limited time only.
