Every good television show gets a spin-off or sequel. On Sept. 27, Game Boy® Advance Video follows suit with two exciting new video paks featuring four "classic" episodes of the wildly popular Pokémon® franchise. One video pak features the cartoon episodes "Pokémon - I Choose You!" and "Here Comes the Squirtle Squad," while the other contains "Beach Blank-out Blastoise" and "Go West Young Meowth." Each video pak sells at an MSRP of $19.99.
Game Boy Advance Video debuted in June, and already has sold more than one million units through August. By the holidays, more than 20 different paks will be available, each with up to 45 minutes of video, or four animated episodes. The initial video offerings included Pokémon episodes, as well as other favorites from Majesco like SpongeBob SquarePantsTM, The Fairly OddParentsTM, Codename: Kids Next DoorTM and Cartoon NetworkTM Collection.
Game Boy Advance Video lets users play video paks of their favorite cartoon episodes right on their Game Boy® Advance SP units, which now sell for a new low MSRP of $79.99. There's no need to buy any additional hardware. So for less than $20, users can convert their video game units into mini view screens, using the buttons to pause or fast-forward the action, just like a DVD player, anytime, anywhere.
