Hooded Horse :
November 14, 2024 - Hooded Horse and Long Jaunt’s medieval colony sim Norland is well into its second phase development roadmap and has today dropped the next round of improvements, along with another big discount as we approach the end of the year.
The latest update for Norland completely overhauls the world map with new sprites, more topology, and more regional diversity. Players will start each game battling for control over a single region before transitioning to the “world” stage and fighting over nation-states of different cultures. The overall map size is also bigger now, and a previous patch allows players to compel nearby vassals to tackle distant issues, freeing their own nobles to focus on matters at home.
Patch 26 comes with a bunch of other new changes as well, such as a new set of regional maps and a family tree system so players can finally track whose second cousin twice removed married whose half-brother. There is also a new set of “guest” NPC characters who take the form of pilgrims and cultists. Read the full patch notes for all the details.
Norland is available on PC via Steam Early Access for a typical price of $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99 / ¥3,980. It’s currently available at a 35% discount until December 4, 2024.
A press kit is available.
