One More Game Introduces SWAP/MEAT , an Outlandish Co-Op Roguelite Third-Person Shooter Coming to PC

SEATTLE - June 13, 2024 - Independent developer One More Game (OMG) today introduced their second title, SWAP/MEAT, a co-op roguelite third-person shooter where you raid the weirdest worlds and angriest aliens in the universe for their meat. The studio released the game’s first trailer, launched the SWAP/MEAT Steam page, and opened signups for playtesting.
 

In SWAP/MEAT, 1-4 players take on the role of a ‘Meat Scientist’ for Rangus Meats (a multigalactic corporation), tasked with scouring the universe’s frontier for fresh meat to add to Rangus' portfolio of meat-based products. It’s dangerous, and the pay is mid, but at least you get to do it with your friends.
 

On each run, you drop onto a series of hostile alien planets and do battle with the local fauna, competing corporations, and all manner of bizarre (and often meaty) antagonists. Along the way, swap your hero’s body parts out on the fly, looting fresh meat dropped by defeated enemies, gaining their powers and upgrading your arsenal of abilities as you face down the next wave of weirdos.
 

In development since September 2023, SWAP/MEAT is entering Alpha and set to begin public testing soon. Interested players can sign up for OMG’s Meat Lab playtesting program for a chance to try it first.
 

“As a team, we try to make each other laugh every day, and so we felt it was only natural that our next game would reflect our weird-as-hell sense of humor,” said Jamie Stormbreaker, OMG cofounder and SWAP/MEAT game director. “SWAP/MEAT’s core mechanic — swapping meat — emerged because our art director thought it would be funny. It turns out, it’s also a ton of fun and perfectly embodies the death-is-inevitable feeling of roguelites.”
