Players of Let’s Build a Dungeon take charge as both Game Designer and CEO in a bid to develop the greatest MMORPG the world has ever seen. From hiring and firing to tackling investor demands, dungeon designing to world building - this multi-layered management sim is a true-to-life depiction of what it takes to run a fledgling game studio.

The new demo for Let’s Build a Dungeon provides a taste of what to expect from the full release, with player choice being at the forefront of the gameplay. Players are tasked with building a fantasy world filled with quests to share with virtual beta testers, with branching paths and multiple quest options to choose from. The demo also marks a historic moment for your in-game studio, inspired by the iconic real-life events from Ultima Online’s development involving Lord British's assassination.

Let’s Build a Dungeon Features:

  • Design and build an MMO fit to be filled with hordes of virtual players

  • Manage the day-to-day running of a game studio, from hiring and firing to keeping investors happy

  • Attract new virtual players by expanding the world, designing new quests and monitoring player journeys

  • Progress through the campaign to develop new items, environments and mechanics

  • Playtest at any time to see the world through the eyes of a player

  • Mix-and-match quest styles for endless replayability

  • Customise a bespoke RPG world with thousands of items, or design custom assets

  • Negotiate tough conversations with shareholders, staff, players and publishers to make meaningful choices that will impact the success of the studio

  • Twitch integration that puts community members in control

When Let’s Build a Dungeon launches next year, streamers will not only be able to put themselves in the game using a suite of creative tools, but also invite members of their Twitch chat to join their custom fantasy world as an avatar. Chat avatars will visit the streamer’s custom MMORPG, explore the world and hopefully survive long enough to complete any existing quests.

Twitch chat can also vote on pivotal moments, with the choice to help or hinder the streamer. Will the community vote to answer the incoming investor call, or decide to ignore it completely and get back to browsing Webscape? Today’s demo release includes a preview of Let’s Build a Dungeon’s Twitch integration and more details are available in the overview trailer below.
