Pearl Abyss Promotes Black Desert’s 'Land of the Morning Light' in Paris

  Paris, France — July 30, 2024 — Pearl Abyss is showcasing the beauty of Korea through its flagship online game, Black Desert, and its 'Land of the Morning Light' expansion in Paris, France.
Black Desert is participating in the Korea House, a promotional space organised by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and run by the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee from July 25 to August 11. Located at Maison de la Chimie in the 7th arrondissement near the Eiffel Tower, the Korea House serves as a multicultural hub promoting K-culture through exhibitions on culture, tourism, food, and art. It also acts as a support and sports diplomacy centre for the Korean national team.
As a globally popular Korean videogame, Black Desert is enjoyed by over 55 million players and supports 12 languages. The game is featured in the Korea Content Zone hosted by the Korea Creative Content Agency. The 'Land of the Morning Light' expansion, known for its stunning depiction of Korean landscapes, has been well-received in the global market and has achieved critical acclaim. The recent Heidel Ball, held in the French village of Beynac, the inspiration for the in-game city of Heidel, garnered significant attention from gamers worldwide.


Visitors to Korea House, including Black Desert fans and general attendees, can view 'Land of the Morning Light' video on large LED screens showcasing the beauty of Korean landmarks such as Gyeonghoeru, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and Gwanghwamun.


Pearl Abyss is also preparing a follow-up content expansion, 'Land of the Morning Light: Seoul,' which will feature historical scenes of Hanyang, the old name for Seoul, including Yukjo Street, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and Gyeonghoeru.
