Photography Simulator on Steam Next Fest 2024

A demo version of Photography Simulator, a game created by Madnetic Games, will be available on Steam Next Fest 2024. Players will get a chance to take pictures in Central Park.

Photography Simulator is a game designed by developers from Madnetic Games - small gamedev based in Wroclaw, Poland. It’s a simulator where the player takes on the role of an aspiring photographer who, by completing assignments and selling the photos he takes, earns a reputation and the funds needed to purchase equipment to develop his skills and improve the quality of his work. The demo version of the game will be available on the February edition of Steam Next Fest 2024.

A realistic game
Not only the environment is realistic in Photography Simulator, but also the mechanics of taking pictures themselves. The developers studied how a camera works and implemented the mechanics it uses with great precision. All of  this was done to increase the immersiveness of the game and give the player the opportunity to get used to the camera or further develop their existing skills without the need to buy expensive equipment.

About the theme
The developers chose photography as the theme of the game because of the interests in this field they shared with their players. It was also a good excuse to create a map whose main goal is to be beautiful. One can allow themselves more creative freedom than in strictly themed games, or those set in a specific timeframe. Some of the developers from Madnetic Games are interested in photography, but most of them simply have a passion for beauty and aesthetics. They are not only programmers, but also graphic designers and writers - artists. They paint, draw, model things in 3D with an attitude to make them aesthetically pleasing.

Steam Next Fest
Players will have an opportunity to see that for themselves during Steam Next Fest 2024 beginning on February 5th. The demo version of Photography Simulator available during the event will have one map - Central Park - where the player will not only have different tasks to complete but also an opportunity of exploring the map freely.
 
After its release, Photography Simulator will be Madnetic Games’ second game after WW2 Rebuilder. Heavy Duty Construction, Mythos: Build & Survive and Medieval Builders: Strongholds & Castles are still in development.
