[June 19th 2024]: Venture into a mysterious underground laboratory in ‘What Lurks Inside’, a survival horror game in which you must cooperate with your human allies to escape the danger stalking around every corner… or become the danger, shapeshifting and striking at the perfect moment to eviscerate the foolish humans who have trespassed into your territory.
With both single-player and cooperative multiplayer modes, players can tremble in the darkness alongside other players or solo, knowing that an attack might come at any time as you work to destroy abominable research, set the facility to self-destruct, and clear the path to your escape… Or players may pose as a human, undermining and sabotaging your enemy’s efforts at every turn, until finally the moment comes to reveal yourself as the monster you are and tear them to ribbons.
Players will get the chance to explore the terrifying world of ‘What Lurks Inside’ in the extensive new demo, releasing June 19th on Steam. Both solo and multiplayer modes will be available, as will both human and monster playstyles.

Key features of What Lurks Inside include:
Single-Player and Multiplayer Horror. Players can choose to venture in with friends, or face the nightmare alone.
Powerful Environmental Features. Doors, traps, and more force players to be aware of their surroundings– and make the most of them for victory.
Varied Gameplay styles. Humans cautiously make their way through the randomly generated map, using improvised weapons and teamwork to survive, whereas the creature focuses on fast-traveling, setting ambushes, and protecting its monstrous brethren.
Engaging Objectives. Players are challenged to destroy the vile research data that created this mess. Set the laboratory to self-destruct so that these mistakes are never repeated, or undercut all these goals, working in the shadows to ensure that the humans fail.
‘What Lurks Inside’ offers a full demo, coming to Steam on June 19th. Players will discover the nightmarish labyrinth of the underground facility, where one of them will reveal themselves as a deadly, shapeshifting beast. Will the others identify their enemy among them before it’s too late?
