The Story:
In the mystical lands of Fauna, Reynard, a curious and courageous fox, is driven by an ambition to uncover a mystery hidden by his tribe for generations. As he ventures deeper, he discovers a dark truth threatening their world. Alongside other-tailed heroes, each with their own dark or sorrowful past, they must all navigate dangerous landscapes and face ancient evils to stop a looming calamity. Their journey, filled with trials and challenges, will become a lasting legend in the history of Fauna.
Gameplay:
Play as three different characters and seamlessly switch between different playstyles and move sets. Charge into combat and swing your powerful sword, or lurk in the shadows and headhunt your victims with a crossbow.
Tight 2D controls, Jump, roll, dash, and attack through a fun, fast-paced combat system. Freeze your enemies with an ice storm or burn them using a fire swirl.
Discover hidden areas and secrets as you explore a stunning, interconnected, handcrafted world with over ten different biomes.
There are over a hundred distinct items to find and equip and a vast selection of skills to choose from! enabling you to completely change your build and playstyle.
Fight a plethora of unique enemies with dynamic AI, and fill your compendium with every creature you encounter on your journey.
Epic souls-like boss battles with immersive AI, done with classic hand-drawn animations.
Mix new potions with the help of the alchemist and forge new equipment and trinkets to help you on your adventures.

With Tails of Fate, we set out to create a Metroidvania where player choice shapes not just combat but the entire journey.
Drawing inspiration from the intricate enemy room layouts and RPG elements of Castlevania, as well as the fluid exploration and precise combat of Hollow Knight, the game allows players to seamlessly switch between three distinct characters, each with unique abilities that unlock new paths and transform how you explore the world. Combined with a rich array of items that reshape combat and playstyle, every challenge can be tackled in multiple ways.
