THE FIRST REINFORCEMENT DROP LANDS IN WARHAMMER 40,000: WARPFORGE

London, UK, February 1st, 2024 - New year, new content. Get ready for the first of the many Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge content releases planned for 2024! Scheduled for debut on February 1st, ‘Leviathan Reinforcement Drop: Terror of Vardenghast’ will elevate the Tyranid gameplay by expanding the existing Hive Fleet Leviathan card collection with a set of brand new cards. This is just the beginning, as more Reinforcement Drops are planned for existing factions, and larger content expansions will introduce entirely new factions throughout the year.

 
This Reinforcement Drop will showcase cards inspired by some of the latest Warhammer 40,000 miniatures. Leading the renewed Tyranid invasion, players will discover the fearsome Winged Tyranid Prime known as the ‘Terror of Vardenghast’, a new Warlord ready to destroy the enemy with brutal flying assaults, as well as several formidable units such as the Neurotyrant and the massive Norn Emissary. Whether you're a newcomer seeking a competitive edge with the Tyranid faction or a seasoned player eager to expand your collection, the Reinforcement Drop offers a convenient and strategic addition.


These smaller content drops aim to enhance existing factions by introducing a new Warlord and approximately 10 cards, crafted to either complement the faction's playstyle or open up new deck archetypes. During the release period, the new content will be featured in draft rewards, and bundle deals will be available for purchase.


In parallel, the team is actively working on larger-scale Expansions that will bring entirely new factions into the game. Each Expansion will include a full set of Warlords and cards, mirroring the structure of the base set's six factions upon Warpforge's initial Early Access release.


Warpforge players can also look forward to the introduction of Achievements. These provide an extra layer of challenge, offering players long-term goals for an enriched gaming experience. By conquering these milestones, players will also unlock Steam Achievements!


Another feature making its way into the game is Match Replays, which will allow players to review and learn from their recent battles. Beyond personal improvement, this feature also serves content creators, making it easier to showcase their most thrilling and strategic matches to the Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge community.
