Italy, Europe, April 24th, 2024 - Alex Von Bronx is pleased to announce The Henchmen, a couch co-op, open-world action game to be released Q1 2025. The Henchmen is a pulp-inspired, ‘90s fueled top-down, action retro open-world game set in the fictional city of New Queens during 1990 to 1996.

In The Henchmen, you will play as a new recruit into of the Castellano mafia family, which controls most of the city against their enemies, the Yakuza. Dig into the criminal underground, gathering crucial intel and orchestrating daring operations that could tip the scales of power in your family's favor.

The Henchmen features arena-styled gameplay where speed is your ally. Execute lightning-fast combos that seamlessly blend melee strikes, roll dodges, and sliding. Chain kills together to replenish health and ammo on the fly. You will engage in a variety of missions, starting from the bottom of the barrel and working your way up to organizing the biggest heist in city history. Do you have what it takes to get rich by any means necessary?

The Henchmen features Driver-inspired driving physics, including a dedicated “power slide” button and fierce cops that just can’t help ramming into you at full speed. Afraid of going alone? You can also have a friend join you, as The Henchmen fully supports two-player couch co-op, with split screen and shared screen mode capabilities!

What is The Henchmen?

The Henchmen is not just nostalgia. While the game offers a delightful blast from the past, with an era-accurate presentation from start to finish, it is beyond a mere nostalgia trip. Alex Von Bronx has envisioned The Henchmen as a “modern-retro” game that stands on its own legs, delivering a compelling experience beyond just delivering a cheap nostalgic high.

The developer has listed warnings of depictions of physical violence via blunt force and firepower, blood, partial nudity, and strong language.
