The game is coming to PC and consoles this Summer
Spain, 10th June, 2024 – Chrysolite, a narrative-driven, pixel-art 2D platformer with touches of Metroidvania, has launched its Demo as part of the Steam Next Fest happening this week.
Chrysolite is a lovingly crafted platformer that engages players with its intriguing narrative and simple, yet challenging gameplay and uses hand-drawn illustrations to advance the narrative.
Developed by solo developer José Manuel Conesa Hernández and published by Firenut Games, Chrysolite will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch in Summer 2024, being available already to Wishlist on Steam.
About Chrysolite
A brooding knight sits in front of a fire, the darkness surrounding him. His sword plunged into the ground, covered in the dried blood of his enemies. He warns you against going any further, but the intrigue of what lies beyond far surpasses your instinct of self-preservation.
Play as a young thief and explore the dangerous remains of a once-prosperous kingdom. Fight against hordes of terrifying monsters and make your way through challenging platforming sections to uncover the clues to unlock the dark story of the last days of the kingdom.
Main features
Intriguing narrative: There is more to these ruins than meets the eye. Find the pieces, connect the dots, and discover the dark story of the last days of the kingdom.
Simple, yet challenging gameplay: Jump, attack, and use the potions you may find along the way. It may seem simple at first, but the ruins will put your skills to the test.
Fight an army of darkness: As you make your way through the ruins, you will have to face an increasingly challenging cohort of monsters, including a few tough bosses. Groovy.
Beautiful hand-drawn illustrations: Chrysolite uses hand-drawn illustrations to advance the narrative. You will be able to revisit each piece in the extras menu.
Chrysolite will launch for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch in the Summer of 2024 and will be published by Firenut Games.
