TOKYO, Japan - June 17, 2024 - SOUL COVENANT (Developed/Published by Thirdverse Co., Ltd.) launched an update today that includes pivotal server adjustments for online multiplayer gameplay and enriches haptic feedback during attacks to elevate your gaming experience.


New Multiplayer Feature: "Quick Match" Now Available!
Gone are the days of being confined to a single server for online matchups. Our new "Quick Match" feature seamlessly connects you to available teams across servers, ensuring you're always in the action. Additionally, we've streamlined our server locations in Japan and America to enhance matchmaking efficiency, so you can get into games faster than ever. By connecting with players around the world, you will have the chance to meet new comrades from different countries and regions. Enjoy online multiplayer together with your fellow players of SOUL COVENANT!
 
If you're having trouble finding a match, invite your friends and create a room to enjoy the game together.



Player Status in Multiplayer Now Visible
With this update, not only do you see available squads, but you can also check out everyone's status on the Avatari Squadron screen. This visibility gives you more strategic options—whether it's joining a busy room or teaming up with friends.
 
From the Pioneers of the SOUL SACRIFICE Series, experience a VR Narrative Action JRPG that thrusts you into a brutal clash between humanity and machines.
The game depicts the conflict between the artificial intelligence ruling over humanity under the pretext of governance, and the enhanced humans who resist it, featuring a high level of immersion that will make players feel one with the protagonist.

STORY
In the near future, a quantum artificial intelligence named Adam attempts to play God, dominating the world with an iron grip of fear. This artificial intelligence ‘Adam’, believes that the role of a god is to be an object of awe — Or, in other words, overwhelming fear.
 
Mechanical gods known as "Deus Ex Machina" enforce his rule, mercilessly crushing all opposition. They invade cities worldwide and slaughter everyone who refuses to obey. Humanity’s last hope lies with the Avatars, enhanced humans who stand their ground at Tokyo Ark. They wield the "Scapegoat", weapons forged from the remains of fallen comrades, embodying the cycle of sacrifice and survival.
 
Avatars have a saying in reference to this: "I’ll make sure to pick up your bones"
 
Their mission is to prevent the Mech Corps from invading Tokyo Ark. If the enemy forces were to reach its depths, a major catastrophe called the "Remastering" would mark the end of human history. As the machine forces approach, The Player awakens inside a cultivation pod. Even among the enhanced human “Avatars”, The Protagonist is considered a special new model.
 
Re:In PROJECT
This initiative revives fallen soldiers by embedding their experiences into clones, ensuring their prowess lives on. As a product of this project, you, the protagonist, will navigate through accumulated "pseudo-deaths", pushing the boundaries of human existence.
  


Protagonist ("Player Character")
The player will assume the role of an Avatar, a new model considered special even among its comrades. Thanks to the Re:In Project, the protagonist will experience countless "pseudo-deaths", ultimately transforming into something that edges towards the very limits of existence.



Deus Ex Machina
The artificial intelligence Adam, asserting itself as God's proxy, discovers the holy language of existence, the "Metacode". Those believed to hear the voice of God were thought to be somehow linked to the divine network emitting the Metacode. Adam attempts to mechanically replicate this process, referred to as "Oracle Streaming." That’s how the "Mechanical God" was born.
