28 February, 2024 - Team Firestorm are thrilled to reveal their debut title, the narrative murder mystery game Blood On The Thames, which will launch on PC this summer. In the smoky streets of Victorian London, the tragic demise of a beloved husband soon spins a tale of terror for his wife who will face forces beyond this world for answers that may be better left undisturbed.

August 7th, 1888. Minerva “Mini” Ernest’s husband is found dead in London’s Thames river - his body savaged by something in the water. A month later, another crime, another body. Returning home from police questioning, Minifinds her maid collapsed in a pool of blood, sending the trajectory of her life into a terrifying spiral. She learns there are no coincidences, no accidents, and even the impossible may simply be the magical manipulation of fate. Perhaps, she may even question her own reality.

Intrigue. Deception. Unspoken secrets. Inconceivable truths. Players will immerse themselves in intricate and historical Victorian London streets, from the most lavish of lounge rooms to oppressive and shadowy industrial plants. Detective vision will help her Mini spot the most important details in the room, but it is down to the player to piece together how these strands might weave their way to the answers, no matter how horrifying.

However, it’s not enough to simply use Mini’s sharp senses to strike upon pivotal evidence for the case. Players will need to use all their cunning when interrogating suspects, using the right facts to exploit contradictions and further their investigations. The journey will take Minifrom the perceived sanctuary of the Ernests’ home to the police station, the banks of the Thames, the catacombs of the city, and perhaps somewhere not quite of this world.

A cast of captivating characters brings these environments to life, but be warned that no one is who they appear to be. Explore these relationships to uncover truths, utilize their insights to use as evidence, and uncover the ethereal horrors - or face your fate with the twisting, turning machinations of an unknowable entity that could change the very nature of Minevra’s reality.

Blood On The Thames immerses players in a richly atmospheric Victorian world through its blended use of pencil-sketch styled environments and period-style photographs, letting players sink their teeth into the crime scenes and be rewarded with authentic recreations of the photographs of this interesting period of history.
