Two Showcases Spotlighting Creativity and Diversity Across 75 Games

[December 5th, 2024] – Women-Led Games and the Latin American Games Showcase (LAGS) are bringing two exciting showcases to The Game Awards this December, celebrating diversity and innovation in gaming. The Women-Led Games Showcase, sponsored by Nani Talent, Lumina Leadership, PlaytestCloud, and co-hosted by Jahara Jayde and Shirocory, will present 25 games led by women in the gaming industry. The Latin American Games Showcase, presented by Annapurna, Raw Fury, ID@Xbox, Halberd Studios, and Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara and sponsored by Fellow Traveler, PANIC, Popagenda, and Tlön Industries, will feature over 50 games, celebrating the talent and creativity of Latin American developers.
Both the Women-Led Games Showcase and the Latin American Games Showcase will feature exclusive announcements, demos, and gameplay reveals from a wide variety of creative voices. The Latin American Games Showcase will take place on Tuesday, December 10th, at 4 PM PT / 6 PM CT / 7 PM ET. The Women-Led Games Showcase is scheduled for Wednesday, December 11th, at 4 PM PT / 6 PM CT / 7 PM ET.

Details: Hosted by popular cosplayer, gaming streamer, and content creator Jahara Jayde and Shirocory this 35-40 minute showcase will feature 25 games led by women in the gaming industry, with exclusive content including release dates, new game announcements, and feature reveals.
Women-Led Games Showcase highlights will include:
Hawthorn (NEARstudios): Former developers from Bethesda, BioWare, and Naughty Dog bring you a sandbox RPG realm of anthropomorphic animals and fairy creatures.
Floridale Man: The Joy of Chaos (Mouldbreaker Interactive): Welcome to the sunny state of Floridale! Make the most of your stay by causing problems on purpose, mingling with hotties and gators, and embracing the chaos of life in this comedy sandbox collectathon.
Duck Detective (Happy Broccoli Games): Duck Detective returns with an exciting new announcement.
Magic Inn (Purpledoor Studios): Reclaim glory in Magic Inn, a charming tavern life simulator. Take on the role of an exiled wizard-turned-innkeeper, overseeing everything from menus, rooms, guests, and staff in a fully magical customizable inn.
Crescent County (Electric Saint): Crash headfirst into this witch-tech open world, drifting and driving on the back of your new motorbroom. Make deliveries, trick out your broom, and race your new friends (and crushes) as the sun sets.
Latin American Games Showcase at The Game Awards

Details: Now in its fourth edition, the Latin American Games Showcase aims to increase visibility and opportunities for the Latin American video game industry. This 60-minute showcase will feature over 50 games from across Latin America, with exclusive announcements, world premieres, and gameplay reveals that celebrate the region’s talent, creativity, and innovation.
Latin American Games Showcase highlights will include:
Prisma (Dreams Uncorporated – Colombia): From the creators of CrisTales, this 2D Japanese-inspired RPG features innovative turn-based combat where camera lenses and filters shape the strategy and artistry of battle.
Motorslice (Regular Studio – Brazil): Parkour through brutalist ruins in this action-adventure inspired by Prince of Persia. Slice through heavy machines and uncover the mysteries of a collapsing megastructure.
Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo (Galla – Dominican Republic): Navigate the afterlife as a snake-like guide, solving puzzles, gathering evidence, and helping Limbo’s residents move on—all without feet!
Tlön Industries: A major reveal from this innovative Argentinian studio is on the horizon.
