To celebrate the 1.0 launch, the Soviet city-building sim is getting an add-on that offers new environmental challenges

June 7, 2024 - Hooded Horse is excited to announce that its upcoming complex city builder Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic will not only be celebrating its 1.0 launch later this month, but it will also be getting its first piece of DLC! The Biomes add-on will drop the same day as the 1.0 release on June 20 across all storefronts.
The new pack challenges players to build new beacons to Soviet ingenuity worldwide by introducing three new map types. From the scorching deserts of Arabia to the unforgiving tundras of Siberia and the tropical jungles of Southeast Asia, socialism knows no bounds!
Each new biome comes with unique challenges:
Contend with limited access to trees and wet soil in the desert, as well as logistical challenges around long-distance hauling.
Invest heavily in heating and bad-weather infrastructure to prepare for longer, harsher winters in the tundras, where players will also need to compensate for shorter farming seasons.
Brave the monsoons of the tropics, where road conditions will suffer under the immense pressure of precipitation – congestion and delays will threaten the flow of industry and commerce!
Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic - Biomes will launch on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store on June 20, 2024. A press kit is available.
