A Unity tweetorial

After being asked a lot about doing a tutorial on Unity for people I decided to do an experiment and do it over twitter - a tweetorial.

I get asked to teach people Unity a lot and I mean a lot. I would love to have time to go around and show everybody how to make games in Unity but that would mean me not making games as well.

So, to get around this I deciced to put together an experiment. This experiment would teach people, and I assume complete beginners here, to make a very simple platform game in Unity. I would also do all of this over twitter (https://twitter.com/xiotex) as a tweetorial.

I was asked to do 4 live workshops over the last weekend at  http://www.gamesbritannia.com and I used this material to teach them. Each class had up to 12 people in it and they were able to make a very basic platform game in Unity in under an hour - some of them took it further and stayed behind after the workshop to build bigger and more complex levels than the very simple one shown here.

My plan is to expand on what I've done here and release an eBook on creating a simple platformer in Unity, but until then, here is the full tweetorial:

And once you've read that, hop on over to Greenlight and vote for my game: Containment Protocol :) http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=252533646
