Can you trust new libraries like HTML5, and WebGL?
In this complicated business what APIs can you trust so your code, and IP doesn't get compromised?
Much like the choice of whether to build your own graphics engine or buy one, this is one of the many choices everybody in this industry will face. The opportunity of WebGL can't be underestimated such as an instant download of your most popular demo, or cloud demo of a more profitable MMO. Nor is the itchy addiction you'll get to fighting the net attacks this web API will always draw to your distribution site. So the choice is yours. My own personal hope is that people will count on this new api to foster growth in our industry group. If your site makes more than 10^3 per day expect and prepare for very complicated web attacks, binary traps, and even worse ip paintups for worse things. A bumrushed and hurried out the door web build will make things even more inviting for the net nazis. Another personal suggestion would be to team up with friends and anybody else you carefully choose. My last suggestion would be once you do team up with your friends and (hopefully wisely chosen allies) you make your responses to threats with solid, well timed and D-Dayesque web deployments.
