Opinion: How will Project 2025 impact game developers?
The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
Cortex 3 up and running
It is up and running, and faster than ever! Cortex 3 is now built and even faster than Cortex 2! (Which is sorta hard to believe given that 2 was restrained by the monitor frame rate to start with) It just loads faster, runs smoother, and does both 3D and 2D, or if you like, a mix of the two. It wasn't easy to port the entire engine from XNA 3.1 to 4.0 and .Net 4.0 with Visual Studio 2010 from 2008. This gives Cortex the potential (which will be tested shortly) to develop for Windows phones in addition to its already awesome capability to build for Windows OS and Xbox 360. As you can see below the file foot print is only 190k for full 2D and 3D capability at 60fps! Tight!
